How to use Alphabet Mats:
PREP: Print and laminate (or simply use a dry erase pocket or page protector).
These alphabet mats offer a lot of versatility! Use them individually, arrange them in ABC order, or even have fun spelling original-scale words!
There are two “activity” sections on every mat:
upper and lowercase letter – just like the number mats, get creative with what you use! The child can simply use their finger to trace each letter or even a dry erase marker to write the letter within the letter. In the image above, play dough and beads have been used to ”fill in” the numeral. You could also use pompoms, pipe cleaners, glass vase fillers, stones, gems, nuts/washers, beans…anything!
Letter writing – use a dry erase marker to trace each letter, and use the rest of the line space to write the letters independently.
